Local veterinarian Morrie Weaver was having cocktails at Marsha Molnar's home when they decided to go for dinner, so they stopped by his Perrysburg home to pick up his partner, Keith Keller. When Dr. Weaver went indoors, he was surprised with a party in honor of his 70th birthday.

The party hosts were Dr. Weaver's sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Jim Davis, and Mr. Keller.

Among the guests were family from California, including daughter and son-in-law Sara and John Palladino and children Jane and Jack Palladino and son and daughter-in-law Graham and Cindy Weaver and children Chase, Blake, and Lily Weaver.

Friends in attendance included Tom and Gretchen Downs, Ron Van Driesen, Mike and Jane Hartman, Chuck Slageter, Bob and Shelly Julius, Wayne North, David Bingham, Steve and Lynn Sutherland, Rob Szczublewski, Jeff and Laurie Huskisson, Don Knepper, Steve and Chris Martindale, Stef and Diane Wellstein, Norm and Diane Johnston, Michael Craig, Steve and Annette Lazenby, Tony and Gloria Shaw, Nancy Staczek, Charles and Ann Dana, Craig and Kelly Burghardt, JC Jarvis, Jill Lloyd and Raj Huria, and Donna Carnegie.

A SUMMERTIME celebration was June 25 at the Ottawa River home of Joyce and Dave Stenberg, or so Mrs. Stenberg thought.

But it really was a belated surprise birthday party for her.

The Stenberg children are daughter and son-in-law Emily and Eddie Youssef, son and daughter-in-law Trevor and Nicole Stenberg and sons Drew, 5, and Reed, 2. Special guest was Mrs. Stenberg's sister, Nancy Wood.

Many friends were among the nearly 100 guests, including Barb and Bob Bettinger, Theresa and Craig Andrews, Tom and Nancy Baron, and Dave and Robyn Rohrbacher.
