BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team announced today that Malik Hluchoweckyj and Rasheed Worrell will transfer out of the program.
The Falcons also gained a player as Matiss Kulackovskis of Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia verbally committed to join the team next season.
Hluchoweckyj played in 13 games averaged 1.8 points and 1.3 rebounds for the Falcons, who finished 13-19 last season, while Worrell averaged 4.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Both players have two years of eligibility remaining.
Kulackovskis is a 6-7 senior at Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia, where he averages 18 points and nine rebounds per game.
Kulackovskis is the second BG signee from Philadelphia and the fifth overall. The other signees, who signed with the program in November, are Daequon Plowden of Philadelphia, Nelly Cummings of Pittsburgh, Joniya Gadson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Derek Koch of Northwestern High School in West Salem, Ohio.
The two transfers mean five players are leaving the program: the other three are seniors Ismail Ali, Wes Alcegaire and Zack Denny.
