The University of Toledo men’s golf team finished 10th at the 12th annual Inverness Intercollegiate, which concluded on Tuesday.
The Rockets, the host of the 54-hole tournament at Inverness Club, finished with a team score of 887 (+35).
UT freshman Thomas Thurloway finished tied for 16th individually with a 2-over par 215. Junior Stephen Watts was next for the Rockets, tying for 39th place with an 8-over par 221.
Bowling Green tied for 8th with a team score of 878 (+26).
BG’s Max Rispler placed ninth individually with a 1-under par 212. Jose Narro was next for the Falcons, tying for 23rd with a 4-over 217.
Auburn came back to win the tournament after trailing Duke following Monday’s first two rounds. The Tigers had a tournament-record team score of 843 (-9), while the Blue Devils took second with a score of 846 (-6).
Nick Carlson of Michigan and Jake Shuman of Duke were the individual medalists with a score of 209 (-4). The two went to a one-hole playoff, which Carlson won.
