BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University women’s basketball standout Carly Santoro will transfer to play at Ohio State as a graduate transfer.
Santoro’s father, Bellevue girls basketball coach Kory Santoro, said on Twitter Monday night, “Carly will play her Senior year at The Ohio State University. Very happy for her and the opportunity she has waiting for her. Go Bucks!!!”
Carly Santoro is on track to graduate from BG in May. As a graduate transfer, the 5-foot-10 guard who played for her father at Bellevue High School would have one year of eligibility and would be able to play immediately.
RELATED: Santoro is more than just a scorer for Falcons this season.
Last season, Santoro averaged 12.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per game to lead the Falcons in both categories. She also ranked 20th in the Mid-American Conference in scoring and fourth in rebounding.
For her three-year career at Bowling Green, Santoro scored 874 points, averaging 9.8 points per game, and added 538 rebounds (6.0 per game). She started all 31 games she played as a sophomore and all 30 this past season after coming off the bench in 28 games as a freshman.
