The NCAA released its annual Academic Progress Rate (APR) figures for the four-year period from the 2013-14 to 2016-17 academic years, and the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University each received impressive scores across the board.
The Rockets and Falcons were above the NCAA’s minimum score of 930 in each varsity sport, and both athletic programs avoided any scholarship limitations or postseason bans.
All 16 Toledo varsity sports had at least a 968 score over the four-year span, with the Rockets’ women’s basketball, women’s golf, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis teams earning a perfect mark of 1,000.
All 18 Bowling Green teams scored 939 or better for the four-year period. Men's cross country, men's golf, women's golf, and gymnastics all scored a perfect 1,000 over the four-year period.
The APR is a real-time measure of eligibility, retention, and graduation of student-athletes competing on every NCAA Division I athletics team. The most recent scores are based on a multi-year rate that averages scores from the 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17 academic years.
