UT assistant coach Kalsow leaving Rockets program

University of Toledo assistant men’s basketball coach Jason Kalsow is leaving the Rockets program to move to Los Angeles with his wife and former UT basketball player Allie Clifton, who has taken a job with Spectrum SportsNet covering the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kalsow spent eight years as an assistant coach for Toledo after following head coach Tod Kowalczyk to the Rockets from Green Bay. He was named associate head coach at Toledo following the 2016-17 season.

In all, Kalsow spent 10 years as an assistant to Kowalczyk.

Former UT players Justin Ingram and Jordan Lauf are expected to be promoted to new positions on the UT staff following Kalsow’s departure.

Ingram, who spent last season as the director of basketball operations, will now be an assistant coach.

Lauf, who was a graduate assistant last season, will move into Ingram’s previous role as director of basketball operations.
