Southview student, 17, to spend at least 2 years in juvenile lockup for rape of classmate

A 17-year-old rape suspect will spend at least two years in a juvenile state lockup, according to a plea agreement today in Lucas County Juvenile Court.

Kei'ron Toyer pleaded no contest to a charge of delinquency in the commission of rape. A kidnapping charge was dropped.

Judge Connie Zemmelman found the teen delinquent.

The teen, and 15-year-old Emmanuell Quinn, were accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at Olander Park in September. All three were students at Sylvania's Southview High School.

In court, Assistant Prosecutor Lori Olender provided the court a detailed account of the assault.

The plea agreement states the two-year sentence is a minimum. The teen could be locked up until age 21.

The Quinn youth pleaded guilty this month with a plea agreement. He will be deposed later this month.
