A Lucas County grand jury on Thursday declined to indict a Toledo man for murder in the shooting death of another man after an argument.
Dai-Shawn Henson, 23, of the 1100 block of Pinebrook Parkway is being held in the Lucas County jail on a $1 million bond for murder in the Feb. 14 death of Willie Riley, 32, of Toledo.
If no other indictment is filed against Mr. Henson, he could be released as early as today from jail.
Riley was shot in the back following an argument with Mr. Henson at the Pinebrook Parkway address, police said. Mr. Henson then called 911 to report the deadly argument.
Jeff Lingo, chief of the special units division for the Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office, could not comment on the grand jury's return of a “no bill” as grand jury proceedings are secret.
