A West Toledo man accused of taking part in a robbery that led to the fatal shooting of a Maumee High School senior has been indicted by a Lucas County grand jury.
Jermonte Anderson, 19, of the 600 block of West Alexis Road is charged with complicity to murder, complicity to aggravated robbery, and complicity to felonious assault, each with firearm specifications, in the indictment handed up Monday.
Prosecutors allege Mr. Anderson drove to Hillcrest and Hazelhurst avenues with several others Feb. 22 to rob another vehicle's occupants. At least two shots were fired into the other car, killing Collin Doyle, 17, and paralyzing Armond Batey, 16. Three others have been charged in the incident, including two juveniles.
