The Washington Local Board of Education elected David Hunter president and John Adler vice president at its organizational meeting last week. Treasurer Jeff Fouke administered the oath of office. The other board members are Frank Erme. Thomas Ilstrup, and Steve Zuber.

The board approved spending $8,419 for dues and subscriptions to the Ohio School Boards Association and $4,525 for affiliate membership in the National School Boards association.

Board assignments made were: Mr. Zuber to the athletic council and policy committee, Mr. Ilstrup to governmental relations and parent club, and Mr. Hunter as legislative and student achievement liaison.
