University of Toledo grant to expand sex assault response

University of Toledo will use a $299,202 federal grant to expand services and training related to sexual assault and domestic violence.

UT announced the grant from the U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday. The grant will allow UT to expand the center’s services and pay to train members of the university community on sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and dating violence.

A response team to address those issues will be made up of university and Toledo police, YWCA Northwest Ohio, and additional campus and community groups.
