Girls basketball: Whitmer moves to 8-3 with win at Findlay

Clay, Central, Notre Dame all notch victories

WHITMER 50, FINDLAY 39

FINDLAY — Abby Hickey scored 15 points to lead three girls in double figures as the Panthers prevailed in Three Rivers Athletic Conference girls basketball action on Thursday night.

Rhegyn Blood added 14 points for Whitmer (8-3, 4-2 TRAC), and Maddie Brown had 11 points.

The Trojans (5-7, 3-3) were led by Kayla Laube’s 11 points. Katie Thomas scored 10 points.

CLAY 47, ST. URSULA 35

Shannon Coughlin finished with 14 points, Elizabeth Vincent added 13, and Sam Stanley 11 as the host Eagles (3-7, 1-5 TRAC) won with a balanced attack.

Emma Cullis led the Arrows with 13 points.

NOTRE DAME 63, FREMONT ROSS 32

FREMONT — Ariel Cummings had 16 points as the Eagles raced out to a 36-14 halftime lead in beating the Little Giants in TRAC play.

Jala Johnson added 14 points and Krisah Lewis had 10 for Notre Dame (9-2, 6-0).

Olivia Baptista had 13 points for Fremont Ross (8-3, 3-3).

CENTRAL CATHOLIC 58, LIMA SENIOR 49

Grace Crawford scored 18 points, Maverick Delp added 13, and Jade Finfera 11 as the Irish (8-1) won at home.

LaToine Cowan led the Spartans with 13 points.

TOLEDO CHRISTIAN 56, NORTHWOOD 29

Kayla McCraney scored 14 points to help the Eagles stay undefeated in TAAC play.

Naomi Jones had 12 points for Toledo Christian (9-2, 7-0 TAAC), and Ella Zaborowski had 10 points.

Kirsten Dombrowski led the Rangers (1-9, 0-7) with 14 points.

GIBSONBURG 47, CARDINAL STRITCH 44

Emily Roberts scored 17 points and Karina Seem added 12 for the Golden Bears (2-7, 2-4 TAAC), who won in Oregon.

Taylor Besgrove led the Cardinals (1-8, 1-5) with 23 points.

LEIPSIC 59, NORTH BALTIMORE 44

NORTH BALTIMORE — Kierra Meyer scored 20 points as Leipsic won on the road.

Alivia Light led the Tigers with 18 points. Katelyn Weinandy added 14.
