UTMC program marks Donate Life Month

At left, Kristin Calkins, trauma director at the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, and UT police Officer Mike Mattimoe raise a flag denoting April is ‘National Donate Life’ month.

Representatives of Life Connection of Ohio whose lives have been touched by organ, eye, and tissue donation spoke during a brief program Monday including Linda Draper of Findlay, above, who found out after 40 years of marriage that she and her husband were truly ‘compatible:’ She was able to donate one of her kidneys to him.
