Hunter Gandee to walk, carry brother 111 miles

Hunter Gandee is ready to embark on another journey with his brother, Braden, on his back.

Hunter, a sophomore at Bedford High School, is walking 111 miles from the school to the capitol in Lansing. Braden will lead the last half-mile.

The brothers begin their trek at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the BHS football stadium. They will arrive at the Capitol Building at about 3:45 p.m. on April 25. That event begins at 3 p.m. and will include free hot dogs, entertainment, and special guests.

Braden has cerebral palsy, and accompanies his brother on long walks to raise awareness.

Hunter has been recognized by Sports Illustrated and ESPN.
