Officials for President-elect Donald Trump said 16-year-old singer Jackie Evancho, a former “America’s Got Talent” contestant, will perform the national anthem at the January inauguration ceremony.

“I felt really honored to be able to sing for the office,” she said on “Today,” according to The Hill. “It’s a great honor for me.” The Hill was among the first to report on her performance for the inauguration.

In 2010, Evancho performed at the National Christmas Tree lighting in front of President Barack Obama. She was also a runner-up that year on “America’s Got Talent.”
