Country singer Kacey Musgraves posted a tweet Saturday night blasting a fan who grabbed her by the arm during a show in Toledo.
Musgraves, who opened for country band Little Big Town on Saturday, said a man latched onto her arm and wouldn’t let go during her performance at the Huntington Center. Her tweet included an three-second video of the incident that had already surpassed 61,000 views by Sunday evening. Security guards escorted her while she walked between the secondary and main stages.
ASSHAT ALERT: this guy grabbed onto me hard, shook my arm, and wouldn’t let me go. Guess I’m gonna have to start carrying a rolled up newspaper out there with me 🙄 pic.twitter.com/ZegKsifwn4

Responses to Musgraves’ video included fans who openly wondered why someone would grab a performer and complimented her tongue-in-cheek idea to swat someone with a rolled-up newspaper.

Why do people have to ruin everything? It’s super cool of you guys to walk through the crowd like that.
