Cedar Point opens Saturday, starts Year of Transformation

SANDUSKY — The wait is over. Cedar Point opens Saturday, and 2015 is being dubbed as a Year of Transformation as the Roller Coaster Capital of the World introduces a new roller coaster experience, a refreshed hotel, and a new group event facility.

Inside the park, Cedar Point unleashes Rougarou, a beast of a coaster that offers a new experience as you ride: your legs will dangle just inches above the ride's orange steel track.

Nearby a refreshed Hotel Breakers reopens with a new main entry, revamped guest room decor, a water play area, and a full-service Starbucks and the Surf Lounge bar will be introduced inside the famous rotunda.
