EDGERTON, Ohio -- Authorities report that a small aircraft has crashed in Williams County.

The plane came down sometime this afternoon and crashed into a wooded area on State Route 49 near County Road F, according to an Ohio Highway Patrol dispatcher. The call came in to the patrol’s Defiance post at 12:10 p.m.

One person was on board, the dispatcher said, and that person was transferred to a local hospital, the dispatcher reported.
