DEFIANCE, Ohio — A report of suspicious activity near Delta, Ohio, on Tuesday led law enforcement agents to the discovery of an active methamphetamine lab at a Defiance residence, authorities said.
Fulton County sheriff’s deputies responding to the report of suspicious activity on U.S. 20A near Fulton County Road 5 investigated the complaint and later found the suspects’ vehicle in a business drive in Swancreek Township, east of Delta, deputies said in a written statement. They found out that the vehicle was reported as stolen from Montpelier, Ohio, arrested five suspects, and called in the Multi Area Narcotics Unit, which then discovered the meth lab at 424 Rulf St. in Defiance, according to the report.
Those arrested and their respective charges were: Schuylar Winkler, 21, of Defiance, parole violation; Kylie Cranson, 19, of Bryan, possession of drug instruments; Misty Lane, 28, of Edgerton, Ohio, out-of-county warrant; Tristen Reynolds, 22, of West Unity, Ohio, possession of drug instruments, and James Black, 18, of Bryan, burglary, according to the sheriff’s office.
More charges are pending, according to the report.
Defiance, in Defiance County, is about 55 miles southwest of Toledo.
