A Bowsher High School guidance counselor was arrested Wednesday for a rape charge out of Michigan that was filed 15 years ago.

George E. Haycraft, was arrested by U.S. Marshals on a fugitive charge and rape charge, with the rape charge originating from the Michigan State Police.

He was charged in 2000 with criminal sexual conduct in the third degree for an act involving a person between the ages of 13 and 15. The charge originates from St. Clair County, and Mr. Haycraft has been wanted by Michigan authorities since 2000, Michigan State Patrol Detective Sgt. Dan Drake said.

Michigan authorities were reviewing old warrants recently; after reviewing Mr. Haycraft’s case, they learned he was now living in Toledo. He had lived in California for a period of time, and Mr. Haycraft’s Facebook page and several websites seem to indicate he was a beat box performer known as “Kmillion ” who lived in Los Angeles before his time in Toledo Public Schools, according to Detective Sgt. Drake.

He was extradited to Michigan on Wednesday and is being held in the St. Clair County jail, Detective Sgt. Drake said.

A Toledo Public Schools spokesman said that Mr. Haycraft was placed on unpaid administrative leave this afternoon. Mr. Haycraft has worked at the district since December, 2012.
