A fire of a yet unknown origin destroyed a garage in North Toledo early today, authorities said.

There were no reports of injuries.

Fire at an unattached garage at 724 Maywood Ave. was reported about 5:30 a.m. and extinguished by about 7:10 a.m., but not before the structure was a complete loss, with damage to the sidings of nearby houses, according to the Toledo fire deportment.

A damage estimate was unavailable. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Lucas County records list David Denison as the owner of the property. A 1 1/2-story house at that address was built in 1916.
