Woman critically injured in Hancock County crash

ARCADIA, Ohio — A 21-year-old Findlay woman is in critical condition in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center this morning after a car-truck crash Friday afternoon on State Rt. 12 in Hancock County.

Courtney S. Simmons was flown to the hospital in Toledo, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Findlay post.

She was driving a car west on State Rt. 12 at about 1:48 p.m. when the car suddenly went left of center and collided head-on with an eastbound utility truck driven by Michael J. Vondeylen, 48, of Toledo, the patrol reported.

Mr. Vondeylen was not injured, according to the patrol. The crash happened about two miles west of Arcadia in Cass Township.
