Bond was set at $1 million early today for the Toledo man authorities accused of killing another man earlier this month in North Toledo.

Antonio Peralez, Jr., 19, of 3530 Hilltop Blvd., Apt. 3, was charged with murder in the shooting death of Jewell Miller, 23, also of Toledo, according to an affidavit filed Tuesday. He was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court and is scheduled for a hearing today.

The victim was found with gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Bush Street about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 8 and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A witness told police the suspect was seen firing several rounds at the victim, according to the affidavit. Nine rounds were recovered from the spot where the suspect was seen firing a gun, the document said.

Mr. Miller leaves behind at least two children, those who knew him have said.
