MONROE - The body of a dead 41-year-old woman was found Thursday morning in 3 feet of water in Lake Pointe Marina, which is located in northeast Monroe County’s Berlin Township.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said it got a call about 10 a.m. from the marina owner. The body was found near the docked boat in which the woman lived.

The name was being withheld pending family notification.

Her body was transported to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
