Milan, Ohio man loses control of truck, dies in Sandusky

Ohio Highway Patrol say man suffered ’medical episode’

SANDUSKY, Ohio — A Milan, Ohio man is dead after suffering what the Ohio Highway Patrol called a medical episode early today.

Todd J. Reber, 53, was pronounced dead at 9:05 a.m. at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

According to the Sandusky post of the patrol, Mr, Reber was driving a truck in the parking lot of Kyklos Bearing International LLC, 2509 Hayes Ave., in Sandusky. It's believed that a medical episode caused Mr. Reber to lose control of his pickup.

The pickup struck three vehicles and continued across the parking lot of KBI before striking two concrete barriers. The vehicle then jumped a curb and continued across Perkins Avenue into the parking lot of another business before striking a concrete-filled steel pipe.

The patrol said the crash remains under investigation, and that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have been contributing factors.
