A man who died following an accident involving a minivan on Angola Road in South Toledo early Friday has been identified as Ronald Adkins, of Toledo.

The vehicle burst into flames as a result of the crash.

Diane Scala-Barnett, Lucas County chief deputy coroner, said following an autopsy she did on the body that Mr. Adkins died of thermal burns.

Mr. Adkins was driving north in the 5100 block of Angola near South Reynolds Road about 12:25 a.m. when the minivan failed to round a “sharp” curve, struck a concrete barrier, overturned, and caught fire, Toledo police said.
