One person has died after a South Toledo shooting late Friday that left two other injured, Toledo Police said in a statement.

Police say they found James Whitiker suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot on Pinebrook Parkway, in the area of Airport Highway and Eastgate Road.

The two other gunshot victims, Dontayveon Jones, 18, and Jonathan Shelton, 20, were located, and all three victims were treated at the scene and transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly the Medical College of Ohio hospital, according to a police statement.

The 21-year-old Mr. Whitiker died at the hospital, and Mr. Shelton and Mr. Jones sustained non-life threatening injuries, police report.

The shootings were reported about 8:45 p.m. Police ask that anyone with information contact Crime Stopper.
