RISINGSUN, Ohio — Firefighters responded to two blazes this week near Risingsun and Fostoria.

A fire destroyed a vacant farmhouse about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 8300 block of Pemberville Road, west of Risingsun. No injuries were reported and a cause was not immediately available, according to Risingsun Volunteer Fire Department.

The department helped with a barn fire at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. 23 and Brandeberry Road, north of Fostoria.
