PORT CLINTON — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Saturday morning in the backyard of an apartment building.

Police and paramedics were called to the 1100 block of West Fremont Road because a man was lying in the yard. The Ottawa County coroner was summoned to the scene and, afterward, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

The man was identified as Harold W. Carter, 47.

Police provided no other details.
