A Toledo police officer was struck by a car driven by another officer in the parking lot of the TPD’s Scott Park District Station in the central city early Tuesday, authorities said.

Officer Brian Heath was treated at an area hospital for a “bump to his head,” Toledo police Lt. Joe Heffernan said.

The incident at 2201 Nebraska Ave. occurred about 6 a.m., when the officers had just finished their shifts and were off duty, Lt. Heffernan said.

Officer Danielle Kasprzak, who was driving her vehicle, did not see Officer Heath, who was on foot, as she pulled out of a parking spot, the lieutenant said. No citations were issued, he said.
