A vehicle crashed into a central Toledo house Saturday in the 800 block of North Detroit Avenue, authorities said.

Toledo firefighters were at work to stabilize the structure. The battalion chief in command asked that a building inspector be dispatched to the scene.

The collision was reported about 5 p.m.

The vehicle drove through a corner of the porch and into the house, perhaps striking a support pillar, authorities said.

The severity of injury to the driver and a passenger was not immediately known.
