Fire gutted a car on the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway late Wednesday afternoon, blocking southbound I-280 for about 20 minutes and leaving traffic snarled for more than an hour afterward. Toledo fire Capt. Daniel Martinez said one of three people in the car was hurt in the blaze, which was reported about 5:45 p.m. One southbound lane reopened shortly after 6 p.m., but the other two lanes remained blocked until the wreckage could be cleared away.
