Authorities are investigating after a body was found earlier today in the 900 block of Hamilton Street.

The body of Daniel Drake, 20, was discovered about 4 p.m. in the 900 block of Hamilton Street. Dr. James Patrick, Lucas County coroner, said Mr. Drake appeared to have one gunshot wound in the head and there was evidence he had been dead for several hours. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, he said.

Toledo police are investigating the death as a homicide, Sgt. Kevin Korsog said, adding detectives were interviewing persons of interest at the Safety Building.
