The driver of a car carrier full of Jeep Grand Cherokees watches as flames engulf the vehicle on southbound I-75 near North Dixie Highway just north of Monroe, closingthe southbound lanes, pictured above. Michigan State Police said the incident occurred about 1:15p.m., and the fire was extinguished by about 1:40 p.m. Thursday. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was reported hurt, and no damage estimate was available.
