A house fire early today closed Nebraska Avenue in central Toledo, tying up the morning rush-hour traffic, authorities said.
The house was vacant, according to the Toledo fire department. There were no reported injuries.
Fire crews responded to the fire at a single-story, wood frame house at 856 Nebraska about 6:45 a.m., a fire dispatcher said. Firefighters extinguished the blaze by about 7:40 a.m., at which time the street remained closed, fire and police authorities said.
