A judge set bond at $1 million today for a Toledo man accused in the weekend shooting death of a 21-year-old man in East Toledo.
At arraignment today, Toledo Municipal Court Judge C. Allen McConnell ordered Travis Nettles, 28, of the 1400 block of Freedom Street, held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of the bond pending preliminary hearing Nov. 28. Nettles, who was charged with murder in the death of Bryan Watson, was not given an option to pay 10 percent of the bond and be released.

Police were called to the 400 block of Navarre Avenue about 11 p.m. Saturday and found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, where he later died.
This is the 32nd homicide in the Toledo metro area and the 29th in the city this year.
