Officials are investigating two dead bodies found in an apartment this evening.

Chief Deputy Coroner Diane Scala-Barnett said at roughly 6 p.m. a report came in that two people, ages 59 and 62, were found dead in their apartment off Kenwood Avenue near ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

She said her office has received few details other than the ages and approximate location. A check for excess carbon monoxide turned up negative, she said.

An autopsy is scheduled for today.
