Fire damages unoccupied central Toledo house

A fire damaged an unoccupied house in central Toledo early today, authorities said.

There were no injuries, according to the Toledo fire department.

Fire crews arrived about 2:20 a.m. and saw flames coming from a house at 612 Highland Ave. near Parkwood Ave., a fire dispatcher said. Firefighters attacked the blaze and extinguished it by 5:22 a.m., at which time the last crew left the scene, she said.

Lucas County records list Anthonyesha Fagan as the owner of the 1½-story wood frame house. It was built in 1914.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate was not available.
