Two people with gunshot wounds have been found in a car at a West Toledo intersection, authorities said.

Toledo police were working to find out where the shooting occurred and why.

The victims were taken to ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Their names and conditions were not immediately released.

Police and paramedics were dispatched at 8:15 p.m. today to West Sylvania and Hazelhurst avenues. Initial indications were that the car was driven there after the shooting. Investigators checked the area around Willys Park, about two blocks south, for evidence of shots fired.

Police also investigated a report that someone was shot about 9:35 p.m. at Spencer Street and South Avenue.
