Cause of morning fire at Toledo refinery under investigation

The blaze began shortly after 6 a.m.

Firefighters battled an early morning fire today at the Toledo Refining Company, according to a dispatcher.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 1800 block of Woodville Road shortly after 6 a.m. Company spokesman Olivia Summons said the fire was extinguished by 7:45 a.m.

There were no injuries in the fire, which Ms. Summons said was contained to a gasoline processing unit. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Crews have left the scene. The Oregon Fire Department assisted in the effort to put out the fire.
