The Wood County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man after his body was found in the Maumee River near Grand Rapids.
The Lucas County Coroner’s Office will perform the autopsy on the man, who has not been identified.
Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said the adult male body was found around 11:30 a.m., and had been in the water for a substantial amount of time.

“He was quite decomposed,” he said.
