The body of a man found Thursday in the Maumee River near Grand Rapids is that of a 45-year-old Defiance man missing since February. 

Defiance Police identified the body as Donovan Bowden, who was reported missing on Feb. 17. 

The Lucas County Coroner’s Office will perform the autopsy on the man. The cause of death was not immediately known, police said.

Mr. Bowden’s body was discovered about 11:30 a.m. and had been in the water for a substantial amount of time, authorities said.
