More than 1,500 people are without power Thursday evening after a garbage truck struck a power pole in South Toledo.

Toledo police said the crash occurred about 4:23 p.m. at Heatherdowns Boulevard and Old Stone Court. It is not yet clear if anyone was injured.

FirstEnergy Corp. officials expect to restore power at 7:30 p.m.
