Authorities are investigating the death Wednesday in Swan Creek Metropark of a Sylvania Township man as a suspected suicide. 

James Judkins, 37, was pronounced dead at 2:38 p.m. in the Metropark, said Dr. James Patrick, Lucas County coroner. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

Mr. Judkins had been sitting at a picnic table near a walking path. A passer-by spotted Mr. Judkins’ body after hearing a gunshot. A revolver was found at the scene, Dr. Patrick said.
