Toledo police are investigating at least five shootings from over the weekend, two which resulted in fatalities, and one arrest.
Many of the incident occurred within blocks of each other, though police have not said if any of the shootings are connected.

On Friday, police said a man who brought a handgun to his neighbor’s apartment to “calm the [domestic] disturbance down’ shot and killed a man involved.
Police responded to an apartment in the 3000 block of Marvin Avenue in West Toledo at approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday, where they found Charles White, 27, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Danielle Reddick and Mr. White were reportedly involved in a domestic dispute at the apartment when Daniel Kirby, 38, entered with a handgun to intervene.
He shot Mr. White in the torso, according to documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court.
Mr. White was taken to ProMedica Toledo Hospital, where he died Saturday in surgery at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, according to Dr. Cynthia Beisser, deputy coroner at the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.
Mr. Kirby is expected to be arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Monday.
Police responded to ProMedica Toledo Hospital at approximately 5:40 a.m. for a person who was shot.
Shanice Hobson, 26, was reportedly shot in the left arm and left breast by an unknown suspect near Oakland Street and Stickney Avenue in North Toledo.
Less than an hour later, Jeffery Wallace’s body was found in the 500 block of East Streicher Street after police received a call of hearing shots fired in the area at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
“We’re exploring all possibilities and we really need the assistance of the public with crime stopper tips,” said Toledo Police Department Lt. Kevan Toney.
No motives or suspects have been identified in connection to Mr. Wallace’s death, Lieutenant Toney said.
At approximately 10:45 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a teenager shot in the 3200 block of Stickney Avenue in North Toledo.
Riley Kode, 16, was shot by an unknown suspect. She was taken by a private vehicle to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center for unknown injuries, according to a police report.
No arrests have been made in connection to this shooting.
Another person was shot Sunday in the 300 block of Moorish Avenue in the central city.
Dominique Candie, of the 200 block of East Delaware Avenue, told officers he had been sent to the Port Lawrence Apartments off Indiana Avenue to buy a gun. When Mr. Candie arrived at the apartment, he and the suspect began to argue, and Mr. Candie was shot, according to a police report.
Mr. Candie was then chased westbound on Indiana Avenue and he fell in a field near the 300 block of Morish Avenue, police said. The suspect allegedly took several of Mr. Candie’s items, and a resident in the area called 911.
Mr. Candie was transported to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
No charges have been filed.
The two homicides from the weekend bring the total for the Toledo area to 14 for 2018. Comparatively, there were 15 homicides reported at this time in 2017.
