A central city man is accused of assaulting and raping a woman at his duplex.
Kevin S. Patterson, 36, of the 1300 block of West Woodruff Avenue, is charged with rape, a first-degree felony.
Mr. Patterson is accused of assaulting a woman Friday by punching her in the face and on her body, according to an affidavit filed in Toledo Municipal Court. He then pushed her down the stairs of his upper duplex, court documents show.
Police say he then dragged the woman back upstairs, undressed her, and then raped her, according to court documents.
Mr. Patterson was arrested Monday by Lucas County sheriff’s deputies and booked in the Lucas County jail.
He was arraigned Tuesday in Toledo Municipal Court, where bond was set at $350,000 at no percent. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
He also has pending felony charges of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, trafficking in drugs, possession of controlled substances, and a misdemeanor offense of possession of drug paraphernalia.
