Oregon curfew leans toward approval

Minors in Oregon likely will be forbidden to walk or congregate in public places between midnight and 6 a.m.

With 15 of 17 precincts reporting, curfew supporters overwhelmingly outnumber “no” votes.

Oregon residents under 18 will be subject to the curfew unless they are attending or traveling to or from educational or religious events, a job requires it, or they are accompanied by a legal guardian.

Parents and guardians could face $150 fines for each offense.

Northwood, Rossford, and Toledo also have curfews for minors while Maumee, Perrysburg, and Sylvania do not.
