The Toledo Walleye signed college forward Luke Nogard to an amateur tryout agreement Friday.

Nogard just finished his best season at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he had 13 points, with nine goals, in 35 games.

In four seasons for the Mavericks, the 24-year-old played in 114 games and tallied 10 goals, 13 assists, and 102 penalty minutes. The native of Ancaster, Ont., appeared in at least 25 games each season for Nebraska-Omaha.

The Walleye play at Quad City tonight.
