COLUMBUS -- Ohio State University's new football coach, Urban Meyer and his wife, Shelley, have purchased an 11,700-square-foot home in suburban Columbus for $1.45 million.
The Meyers closed recently on the home in Dublin. It had been on and off the market since 2010.
The home features seven bedrooms, four full baths, and four half baths on nearly 2 acres overlooking the seventh green of the Muirfield Village Golf Club in a gated portion of the Dublin golf community.
The property includes an in-ground pool, four fireplaces, and a billiard room.
"It's really a beautiful home, with lots of great living space," said Ron Cadieux, a managing partner with the Raines Group, the Real Living HER agency that listed the home.
"It has a very, very nice yard, both front and back, and even though it's on the championship golf course, it offers lots of privacy," Mr. Cadieux said.
The home was built in 1985 and extensively renovated and expanded by its previous owners, Abner and Deborah Bagenstose.
The Bagenstoses originally listed the home at $2.8 million before taking it off the market.
The home came back on the market with the Raines Group last summer with a listing price of $1.8 million.
