Beginning Tuesday, Bill Michaels assumed the additional responsibilities of programming director at the all-sports station WLQR-FM 106.5 The Ticket and the all-talk station WLQR-AM 1470.

Michaels is already program director for WXKR-FM 94.5 and WXKR-HD2-FM 100.7 (The Zone), and can be heard during the 3 to 7 p.m. afternoon drive on WXKR.

Michaels replaces Norm Wamer as programming director at WLQR-FM and WLQR-AM. Wamer, who also hosted The Front Row with Norm Wamer, was let go Monday.

Andy Stuart, regional vice president and marketing manager for Cumulus Media Toledo, which owns both stations, said an announcement was forthcoming regarding the replacement host of Warmer's afternoon show. He also said 106.5's schedule of local and CBS Sports Radio programming will remain intact, and 1470 will continue as a Westwood One affiliate.
